Heavy Duty Adirondack Chairs - During the spring and summer months while people sit outdoors, talk, rest, or simply watch the sky, a favorite option of seating is the Adirondack Chairs. So, exactly what is the Adirondack Chair and why's it so popular?

Adirondack Chairs are usually found in outside settings. Back in Canada, they have a tendency to be known as Muskoka Chairs (the title coming in the Muskoka District Municipality where it's normal to see many cabins and outdoor seating places).

Adirondack Chair : Black Wood Adirondack Chairs Tan Adirondack
It's said that Adirondack seats were created by Thomas Lee in 1903 when he desired some outside seats while his family was on vacation in Westport, New York. The legend states that he cut off eleven slats of timber from 1 piece of wood and set them together to create the chair.

Lee understood Harry Burnell and also he understood that Burnell wanted some income and gave him that the blueprint for the chair. The seat was initially called a Westport seat. Burnell filed a patent for its layout and did not include Lee in the patent.
